Go Daddy is abusing you!

You’re getting hosed.

I wish I had better news for you, but I don’t.

$11.99 for .com domain names?

$9.99 more for private registration?*

That’s right, if you’re buying from Go Daddy, you’re paying $21.98 per domain name, per year.

You are being abused.

Own a hundred or so domain names like I do? That’s $2,198.00 per year for 100 privacy-protected domains.

Like I said, you’re getting hosed. You are being reamed. You’re getting taken to the cleaners. You ARE being abused.

Truth be told, I was once like you — a sap — paying more than I needed to for domains, just so that Go Daddy could continue shooting elephants in Africa, branding NASCAR teams, buying Super Bowl ad time, and putting hot chicks on the payroll. Somehow, I don’t feel the overwhelming need to subsidize that. It’s not even in my top ten things to do this week.

But I found something better. My hundred domains with private registration cost me only $799.00 per year. That’s right, only $799.

That means I’m taking my honey for a weekend in the city with fourteen-hundred balloons, while you’re coughing up big wood for a disappointing Super Bowl ad that any mook can watch for free.

Okay. OK. Maybe you’ve had enough of the rant. Maybe you could use a little help. So what’s a sap to do?

Listen up, Monkey Boy

I’ll tell you what a sap does; you go where I tell you to go.

You go where I tell you to go, and you pay only $7.99 for .com domains. Not one penny more. You go where I tell you to go, and you pay only . . . uuuhhhh . . . 0 for private registration. That’s ZERO as in NADA, FREE, GRATIS. You go where I tell you to go, and you get free web mail with your domain name purchase. Oh yeah, I almost forgot — you go where I tell you to go, and you get free hosting with your domain purchase.

Better still, if you already own domains, and can’t figure out a good reason why you should pay for more for less — you get the same great pricing and freebies when you transfer your domain names.

I’m like your freakin’ fairy godmother today, because now I’m gonna tell you that all you have do is go to one place to get ALL of this.

Like I said, you go where I tell you to go, and you go there right now.

You go there right now, by clicking RIGHT HERE.

You might even mention that Sparky’s Dad sent you. It won’t get you anything, but it passes for conversation.

You’re not still here, are you? What are you, thick? Was that too complicated? Waiting for the Cliff Notes?

OK, I’ll make it real simple for you:

Click here now for domain name nirvana. Click here anytime for interminable abuse.

Now be gone with your sorry-assed self.

Private Registraion (aka Privacy Protection, Domain Privacy) keeps your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address out of searchable public “Who Is” databases. If you don’t have it, ANYONE can look up your private contact information at numerous places on the web, including:
